If no water flows into your sprinkler — and your faucet is open and hose is kink-free — the issue is likely inside the Quick-Snap connector. Some hoses have narrow or shallow metal fittings that block the internal valve, preventing water from passing through.
Here are a few easy ways to fix it:
Try a different hose with a wider internal neck
Remove the white valve from the connector (you’ll control flow at the faucet instead)
Use a manual shutoff extension — like our Manual Hose Connector or one from a hardware store

Watch: How to Reposition the Hose Hookup
Yes! The hose swivel on the bottom of the sprinkler can be rotated to change the direction your hose runs. This helps you avoid sharp bends or awkward routing across your lawn.
Just grip the elbow fitting and gently twist it into the direction that works best for your layout. It’s threaded in place and can be repositioned by hand.
Watch: How to Access the Nozzle
To lift the turret, use the wings of the key that came with your sprinkler.
Insert the key through the slits in the rubber cap (see image below) , on the side opposite the nozzle. Push the key all the way in. As you pull it slowly back out, turn it slightly (about ¼ turn) until the wings catch the inside edge of the opening. This lets you lift the turret up and out of the canister.
Since the sprinkler isn’t permanently buried, you’ll need to hold the body steady with your other hand as you lift.
If you're not sure you're doing it right, feel free to give us call at (330) 789-5566 — we’ll help you confirm.
If you are in need of extra or replacement nozzles they can be purchased here.
Watch: Changing and Selecting Nozzles
To change the nozzle, first remove or loosen the nozzle retention screw:
Insert the key through the slits in the rubber cap directly above the nozzle.
Use the tip of the key like a flathead screwdriver to turn the screw to the left a few turns — no need to fully remove it.
Once the screw is backed out, gently pull the nozzle out. Use the key for red nozzles or needle-nose pliers for green ones.
To install a new nozzle, insert it into the opening, then tighten the screw to the right. This lowers the screw in front of the nozzle to keep it secure during operation.

Watch: Changing and Adjusting Nozzles
Yes. You can diffuse the water stream into a flatter, wider pattern — perfect for closer-range watering or delicate areas. Just keep in mind this will also reduce the distance the spray can reach.
To make the adjustment:
Insert the key (or a narrow flathead screwdriver) through the slits in the rubber cap above the nozzle
Engage the nozzle retention screw and turn it to the right
The tip of the screw will enter the water stream and flatten it
Caution: Turning the screw too far in either direction can cause it to fall out — which may allow the nozzle to pop loose. Once you see the spray pattern you want, stop turning.
This works on both red and green nozzle models. If you’re unsure which way to turn or what you're seeing, call or text us a quick photo or video at (330) 789-5566.

The most common reason for reduced spray distance is low water pressure. Each sprinkler needs at least 30 PSI to reach its full 40' throw.
Pressure can vary depending on your location, time of day, and how many appliances or sprinklers are running at once. Even a second sprinkler or a garden hose in use can reduce the pressure enough to shorten the spray.
Watch: How to Run 2 Sprinklers at Once
Each Quick-Snap sprinkler needs 30 PSI of pressure to operate at full strength. That means most home systems can run one — or in some cases, two — sprinklers at a time, depending on your water pressure.
To test your setup:
Turn on one sprinkler and observe the spray distance
While it’s running, turn on a second
If the spray distance drops, your pressure may only support one at a time
If that's the case, we recommend using a multi-port sprinkler timer at your spigot. This allows you to water up to 4 zones in sequence without needing to disconnect anything. You can find a variety of these at most hardware stores or online (search: “4-zone hose timer”).
To run two at once manually, use a Y-connector and remove the white “STOP” valve inside the Quick-Snap connector. (Simply take off the black O-ring and slide the white stem out.) This keeps water flowing freely through both lines.

Examples of use of Y Connector.
To operate sprinklers in series, you may attach a quick-connect on one arm of the "Y" and a hose to the next sprinkler on the other arm.
If you choose to do this, the quick-connect "w/ STOP" that comes with your sprinkler will not work with the "Y" unless you remove the white stopper valve (see images below) inside. (Attaching it to the "Y" clamps the valve shut.)
To remove the white stopper valve, simply remove the little black O-ring on the end of the white stem and the stem will pull out from the other side. Now the quick-connect will remain open while connected to the "Y".
Quick-Snap sprinklers are designed with built-in protection to prevent clogging.
Each SwingSnap Adapter includes a bright orange cap to cover the opening when not in use — this keeps dirt, bugs, and grass clippings out of the system. (If you misplace a cap, you can order a 5-pack here.)
Inside each sprinkler head, there’s also a removable filter (image below). It’s rarely needed, but you can rinse and reinsert it if debris ever builds up. The nozzle opening is large enough that most particles flush right through on their own.

If the ground around the sprinkler is soft and muddy, it’s often because the soil wasn’t packed tightly enough after installation. Air pockets around the sprinkler fill with water and create a muddy spot. Let the area dry out, then add more soil and pack it firmly.
If the issue continues, there may be a leak at the bottom of the sprinkler where it connects to the SwingSnap Adapter. This can happen if the sprinkler canister has loosened or if the side pipe has cracked — especially if the sprinkler was left sticking up above the dirt.
While Quick-Snap sprinklers are built to handle mower traffic when installed flush with the ground, damage caused by being stepped on or hit by a riding mower is not covered under warranty.

If water is shooting out of the top and no spray pattern is forming, the nozzle has likely popped out of the turret (the part that pops up). This usually happens when the nozzle retention screw is turned too far — either left or right — which causes the nozzle to launch out under pressure.
Here’s how to fix it:
Look in the grass near the sprinkler — the nozzle may have landed close by
Reinsert the nozzle into the turret
Use the included key (or a flathead screwdriver) to gently tighten the screw
Don’t overtighten — just enough to hold it in place
If you can’t find the nozzle, you can order a replacement here.

Watch: Is This Leaking Normal?
Some light dripping is normal, but steady leaks may indicate a problem. When turning your sprinkler on or off, it’s common to see a little water around the turret. This usually stops once water pressure builds and the internal seals engage. You may also notice a slight dribble from the nozzle as the sprinkler shuts down — this is expected and not a cause for concern.
However, if water continues leaking from the threaded joints, first check the black Quick-Snap connector on top and the elbow fitting on the bottom. Both are threaded and can often be fixed by hand-tightening.
If the leak is coming from the side pipe (the SwingSnap Adapter), it may be cracked or damaged and will need to be replaced.
You can order a replacement SwingSnap Adapter here, or if you're not sure, text us a photo at (330) 789-5566 and we’ll help you identify the issue. If you prefer to give us a call, that works too!
If your sprinkler spins in one direction but doesn’t reverse, the internal spring may be misaligned or damaged. This can happen from:
Over-rotating the turret by hand
Water freezing inside over winter
Using too much air pressure when winterizing
These issues can affect the internal gears and may not be covered under warranty if caused by improper handling or storage.
Not sure what caused it? Just text us a quick photo or video at (330) 789-5566 — we’ll take a look and work with you to make it right. If you prefer, just give us a phone call and we'll get you taken care of!
Yes! Quick-Snap kits come with all the connectors you need. If you’re building a custom setup, just text us a photo of your parts or layout to (330) 789-5566 and we’ll walk you through it. Or just give us a call, we are happy to help!
Yes — as long as the sprinkler is buried flush with the ground, it can handle the weight of a typical riding mower.
Where problems can occur is when the top of the sprinkler sticks up above the soil. In that case, the weight of the mower presses down on the exposed sprinkler — which puts stress on the plastic SwingSnap Adapter underneath. This can lead to cracks, leaks, or reduced spray pressure.
Best practice: After installation, double-check that the top of the sprinkler is level with the surrounding ground.
Tightly packed soil around the unit helps the dirt absorb the weight — not the sprinkler itself.
If the SwingSnap Adapter is cracked, you can order a replacement here.
It’s important to remove all water from your Quick-Snap sprinkler before freezing temperatures hit.
Even a small amount of ice inside the sprinkler can damage the internal rotation mechanism.
Here are a few easy ways to winterize your system:
Use the Quick-Snap Air Purge Tool with a bicycle pump to safely blast out water
Remove the sprinkler and store it indoors for the winter
Lift the sprinkler out of the canister and use a rag or sponge to wick out the remaining water
Remove the orange cap on the SwingSnap Adapter to let the water evaporate
Order the Quick-Snap Air Purge Tool here
Watch how to winterize your sprinkler
If water is left inside the sprinkler during freezing temperatures, it can expand and damage internal components — especially the rotation mechanism and reversing springs.
The most common signs of freeze damage are:
The sprinkler no longer reverses or rotates
Water gushes from the head when turned on
Pressure is low even though connections are tight
Unfortunately, freeze-related damage isn’t covered under warranty, unless the sprinkler was properly winterized.
To avoid issues, we strongly recommend using the Quick-Snap Air Purge Tool.
