The Spray unit must be placed along the side of the spray pattern, at the center point. Just make sure it’s a spot that is easy for you to get to.
Dig the hole about 4″ wide and 7.5″ deep. You want the top of the spray to be level with the ground surface. Save the grass so you can tuck it in back around the unit and help hide it in the grass.
Step 3: Select the spray pattern
Pull the riser up from the Spray’s canister. Turn the gray nozzle on top to select the spray pattern you want. If it’s a bit stiff or difficult to turn, it’s OK to grip the gray top with a pair of pliers and twist–there are no threads to break. Allow the riser to slide gently back into the canister.
Twist the hose connector so it points in the direction you want to attach the hose. Place the unit in the bottom of the hole and pack the dirt in around it. Leave a depression on top for the hose connector to lie in for mowing. Tuck in grass around the top.
There’s really only one adjustment to make. Turn on the water and spin the riser so the nozzle is pointed in the direction you want the water to go. The riser turns with finger pressure and is ratcheted so that it stays in place.
Congratulations on installing your Quick-Snap Spray. To use it just swing the connector up, snap on your hose and turn on the water. When finished, remember to replace the orange cap (so you can find the unit when the grass gets long) and swing the connector back down for mowing. You will never have to adjust the Spray again.
